The Hifonics Colossus CX12D2 is a 12-inch (30 cm) Subwoofer with a 100 mm dual voice coil and 2 + 2 ohms. The drive is powered by a triple magnet (3 x 8.08 kg) in combination with an aluminum die-cast basket. The construction includes a double-stitched surround, a dual Nomex spider with double centering, sewn-in leads, a hand-crafted paper cone, and a reinforced aluminum dust cap. X-Max is +/-25 mm. The coils use an aluminum-copper winding with temperature resistance up to 220°. The RMS power is 4000 W, with a maximum power of 8000 W. Also specified are Fs 36 Hz, Qts 0.34, VAS 25 l, and 87 dB.
